What is Zen?

Zen is a total state of focus that incorporates a total togetherness of body and mind. Zen is a way of being. It also is a state of mind. Zen involves dropping illusion and seeing things without distortion created by your own thoughts.

The "Super" Competitor

Games have been won, plays have been planned, practices have been met, and now it's all down to two teams.  This is the Holy Grale of football.  The game of all games.  Millions will view to witness who will be victorious.  Will it be the Patriots or will it be the Giants...

Ever wonder what the Super Bowl teams do to become so successful?  I've always heard that all successful athletes picture themselves winning.  But what else does winning entail?  Most of the practices these pig skin athletes use can apply to the dieter as well.

Focus on the goal...is it 5 lbs., 10, 20?  Work with the end in mind.  What plans do you have upon meeting your goal?  Practice.  Eat now the way you plan to eat then.  If you plan to eat the way you did before dieting, your old self will inevitably reappear.  Work out.  Train your muscles to become more efficient at burning calories by making them stronger.  Hire a good coach.  Whether it's your spouse, your sister, a coworker, or best friend; you need someone that can encourage and support you.  Review your competitors.  What have they done to become successful at weight loss?  And don't forget to enjoy your half time!  Dance a little, sing a little, and reward yourself for your sucesses.  Keep that game face and you just may end up with your own "Super" trophy...the new you!
