Day 6

Good morning! I hope you all take the day we have off and caught up on your sleep that was lost with the time change on Sunday. I know I was feeling it this week. Now I am refreshed and re energized. I will probably be feeling tired later. I have to haul and stack 60 bales of hay today, so I am using that as a replacement for my exercise today.
You girls are doing a great job with your walking every night. I really hate that I have missed the first two days this week. It was such a nice day today I'm glad we all got to enjoy it.
OK cats...just one more day until the weigh in! Are you ready?! I can't believe that it has already been 1 week! I have added a new survey to the page asking who you think will be the biggest loser on Thursday and I also got help from Natasha to fix the comment setting. Now you do not have to have an account to post a comment. All you need to do is just click on comment and type in the box. I didn't know this could be done until I was taught.
Have you ever wondered what your BMI was? Knowing your body mass index helps you learn what a healthy weight for you is. It also gives you an idea of what your ideal weight would be. I found this to be very intriguing. I think sometimes we don't even know ourselves as well as we think. To figure your own BMI go to http://www.prevention.com/ and click on weight loss. It will drop down to reveal a list of items. Click on strategies for success and locate the BMI calculator on this page.
Natasha I am tickled that I have inspired you. Maybe there will be others...it feels good to know when you have helped someone. Have a great day off and count all of your successes and learn from your failures! I will see you on weigh in day number two!-Kerry

  1. I'm so glad you figured out a way around the comments problem. I think we'll have a lot more participation this way! So far, so good today! We've got strawberries in our house now, and Hayden and I are thrilled! I'm working at school all day on my masters stuff. We'll see how productive it is considering Hayden is helping me. :)

  3. Good morning all! I am excited I can post now. I've decided to I'm going to make lots of accomplishments today...I made taco soup in the crock pot for supper tonight, I'm taking Rex to the vet at 11, meeting Em at the gym at 2:30 (Kerry you should come too if the hay thing doesn't beat you down) and I AM GOING TO CLEAN MY HOUSE TODAY...whether I like it or not. Everyone keep Barbra in your prayers throughout the day.

  4. Shalee, I'm so excited you are posting now!! The more people, the more fun. Now that you've announced it to everyone, I guess I have to make it to the gym. Good strategy!

  5. Check mate Shalee! :) What do you all plan to do today at the gym? I may try to make it, if I can get away from MY house cleaning! I am so glad that we have another poster! The hay thing didn't get me down too much so I guess I had better do some sort of activity today! Have a great rest of the day!

  6. Well, I'm going to do some sort of cardio, and then maybe some ab stuff...maybe we can all do some crunches and planks together. Daggone I hate planks but if I can ever do a few I always feel skinner...he he he.

I tell you what, I'll bring some low calorie taco soup for anyone who makes it to the gym with me at 2:30!

BTW, I have a comment about the BMI...I don't know how much faith I have in that. When I was a size 5, I still weighed more than what the BMI told me I should. It may be a good tool for other people, but it just makes me agitated.

This blog thing is as addictive as facebook!

  7. The taco soup is delicious! I'm taking the second bowl for lunch tomorrow. Shalee, I know it's almost bedtime for you, but I still have at least a couple hours left in me. I'll do my 100 crunches after dinner settles. See you all in the morning.

  8. As you all can see I didn't make it to the gym, however I still did my exercises! I decided that it probably wasn't frugal to drive 25 minutes to Franklin to work out and burn the gas when I could save the trip. Besides I really had some catching up to do around here. I know I surely have burned several calories going up and down the steps a million times! Good Night all...see you tomorrow...D-day!
