You know I just love the wonderful surprise when nature announces that spring has arrived. I stepped outside this morning and took in a deep breath of fresh air and listened to the birds finally singing their springtime songs. I looked down and to my excitement my flower beds had come to life over night! They have been patiently waiting to arrive all winter and now their time of new growth has arrived. We too have begun a journey of new growth and change. As we go through this challenge we are bound to feel and see many changes within ourselves. Today I challenge you teammates to get outside and enjoy the wonderful springtime weather and get moving.
It seems that the walking after school plan is a great idea! Researchers have found that exercisers who take it outdoors burn 10% more calories than those who walked on a treadmill.
If you start to feel hungry grab a water first. Almost 60% of the time it is only your body telling you that you need to rehydrate instead of eat. After you drink the water wait 20 minutes and if you still have hunger pains get something to eat.
Brush your teeth after each meal. No one likes the feel of getting their freshly cleaned teeth dirty and this sometimes curbs hunger.
Keep a food journal, so that you can track all of your eating. Sometimes just knowing that you will have to see it in black and white holds you more accountable and more conscious of what you are eating.
Lastly, set attainable goals. Sometimes we tend to go overboard and are quickly discouraged when we fail. We do not want to be discouraged we want victory! But again do not dwell on failures but celebrate all your successes no matter how small.
Have a Great losing day!
